189: Schoolhouse Blue

There is a closed formality in a building like the Schoolhouse. What is critical is recognizing that formality in a way that allows us to respect its hierarchy as a starting point for the Work while also permitting a new piece of architecture that is equally not subservient to it.

This work creates a new construction that uses the sizing and shaping of the original schoolhouse as a start point, but then diverges in order to reflect current means of building as well as the new use and its relationship to Place.
